NBC has approved 6 more episodes of Chuck... that takes the season 3 total to 19 episodes.... not bad for a show that was going to be cancelled and held on by the skin of its teeth... Plus... it looks like new episodes will begin airing in January instead of March... Hell Yeah!!!

End of October Premiere?
If the rumors are true, (I put all my faith in television gossip into Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly) Chuck season 3 may run as early as the end of this month....
Can I get a Hallelujah? Praise NBC!!!
And... if they run early there is a strong possibility that more than 13 episodes will be ordered for the season.... fingers crossed!!!

Switching Teams
Team Jacob!
Damn! That boy is hot. And I do mean boy. What is he, 17? I feel like a dirty old woman. Not that it'll stop me from drooling.
I must admit, it's pretty much Rob Pattinson's fault that I'm switching teams. He just does not embody the Edward Cullen of my dreams...

The 50 Best Foods in the World...
... and where to eat them, according to the Guardian, and Killian Fox.
I have been to:
#5 Pho / Pho 24 / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
#7 Macaroons / Laduree / Paris, France
(My mom almost punched a Frenchman here for being rude to me. It was pretty awesome!)
#9 Milkshakes / Fosselman's / Alhambra, California
#31 Pizza / Frank Pepe Pizzeria / New Haven, Connecticut
(or was that Sally's...)
I really want to go to:
#1 Oysters / Strangfor Lough / North Ireland
#3 Hamburgers / Little Owl / New York, NY
#13 Strawberry Tart / Restaurant de Bacon / Antibes, France
#25 Sushi / Daiwa Sushi / Tokyo, Japan
#45 Pasta / Trattoria Caprini / Verona, Italy
Looks like I've got some traveling to do!

Super Secret Weekend
This past weekend, my good friend J took me on a super secret trip for my birthday. (Which was two months ago... I love when my birthday lasts for months at a time!) I'll get to the details later, but here's some key points:
Wine-tasting
Beer-drinking (and pouring, as the case was for J)
White-water rafting
Yeah, it was pretty much the most exciting weekend I've had in a long time!
-Our very important first stop after landing in Sacramento. Yum!
-I put this tent up in the dark, with only a headlamp to guide me. That's right, be impressed!
-This company rescues wolves and finds homes for them in sanctuaries. When they're not being displayed in cages at county fairs, apparently... J and I both wanted one. Aren't they beautiful?
-Lunch on Saturday, after/before wine tasting. Thanks you for the delicious food!

Yay, Coloring!
For the long flight from Paris to Newark, after my seven months abroad, I bought a coloring book and markers, determined to spend at least a few hours in child-like happiness. However, my adult self wasn't really able to shake the sheepish feelings due to the "bunny rabbits at home" motif of my coloring book. I decided that someone should make an adult coloring book (no, not that kind!) so that I, and others like me, might enjoy one of life's simple pleasures.
I have yet to find such a coloring book. But, today, I received an email from Flavorwire, about The Indie Rock Coloring Book. It's not quite right, but it's a little more promising. Maybe in my spare time I can find an artist and create my own adult coloring book. (No, seriously, not that kind!)

Beckham hints at early exit from Galaxy
David Beckham has hinted for the first time that he may not see out his lucrative five-year contract with American MLS club Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 34-year-old has openly admitted all year that he will seek another loan move with a European club to boost his chances of playing for England at the 2010 World Cup finals, but he has always insisted that he remains committed to the Galaxy.
However, his latest comments, ahead of England's crucial World Cup qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday, suggest that he may activate a get-out clause in his contract, which runs until 2012.
"I will finish the MLS season. After that, everybody knows that I'll be coming back to play somewhere," said Beckham, who is hoping to win his 114th international cap at Wembley, having been an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-1 friendly win against Slovenia.
"LA Galaxy know that. If it upsets a few people, I can't do anything about it. I keep saying how much I enjoy playing over there and how committed I am to the Galaxy -- I think I will be back there after the World Cup.
"But there is a possibility that the contract might break in the autumn, and I do have options. Milan have made me aware that they want me to go back there and I'm more than happy with that.
"But I have also had another three or four offers, so when the time is right, I will decide."
The midfielder's loan move to Italy in January caused a falling-out with U.S. national captain and clubmate Landon Donovan, while Beckham also clashed with fans upon his return to action with the MLS side in July...

For the Humorous History Buffs Amongst Us
As my friend said, "Pretty much sums it up... except for the Pacific war.
1. World War II
Germany invades Czechoslovakia.
Britain & France tell them to stop that bullshit.
Germany invades Poland.
(Russia also invades Poland from the other side: everybody forgets this.)
Britain & France declare war. This is the 'official' kick-off.
Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, & Romania all join the German side.
(Everybody forgets the last three.)
Axis forces go through Europe like vindaloo through a colostomy.
Nazis exterminate Jews, gays, gypsies, & the disabled.
(Everybody remembers the jews but forgets the rest.)
UK holds out.
Russia & the USA don't do shit.
Entire divisions of Danish, Belgian, Dutch, Norwegian, French & Serbian volunteers join the Axis armies & SS.
(Everybody forgets this & to listen to them now, they were all in the fucking resistance, which must have been MASSIVE.)
Axis forces invade Russia.
Suddenly the Russians don't think it's funny any more.
Japan joins the Axis & bombs Pearl Harbor.
Suddenly the US doesn't think it's funny any more.
The USA tools up the world, 'cause it's got more factories than everybody else put together, & they're out of bomber range.
Axis runs out of steam in Russia, cause Russia's enormous & bloody freezing.
Allies invade on D-Day... 5 landings: 2 British, 2 American, 1 Canadian.
(Everybody forgets the Canadians.)
Hitler ends up smouldering in a ditch.
Russians find the body & confirm he only had one ball. Seriously.
The US decides invading stuff is a pain in the ass and invents the atom bomb instead. Drops two buckets 'o sunshine on Japan.
Russians steal half of Europe.
UK's spent almost every penny it had.
US starts telling everybody how it was all about them & 64 years later is still doing so.

Does love suck?
Come September 10th, we will find out... I'm still not a fan of Stephan but Damon, yes indeed. I am reserving judgment on the show because I have read the books so many times that I'm terrified they are going to f**k it up. Hence, I'm expecting very, very little but way of continuity. I think all my hope was lost with Elena's brown hair in the show and blond hair in the book...

The New Victoria
Bryce Dallas Howard has replace Rachel Lefevre as Victoria in the 3rd Twilight Saga film, Eclipse. Now while that sucks for Rachel Lefevre I must admit this bit of casting news is very exciting. Bryce Dallas Howard has the acting chops to pull off a love lost, sadistic vampire and adds a bit of weight to the movie. Brilliant!

WOOHOO!!!!
Elementary....
I wonder what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would think of his character? I have a feeling this movie is going to revolutionize the way we look at Sherlock Holmes. After all, who knew he was a bad ass fighter and ladies man? I always pictured him as a bit of a poof. But, apparently Guy Richie found a man's man lurking beneath the soft surface. At least with the lovely addition of Rachel McAdams those pesky Holmes/Watson attached at the hip thoughts will be silenced.

Judging Scarlett...
Okay, so she can fill out a leather outfit... good.... she can do that smoldering, mysterious thing.... great.... but can she do a convincing Russian accent?... ah ha! Houston, we MAY have a problem. Have I mentioned how much I hate the curly hair? The Black Widow has straight hair. Hell, I'll say that she has a bit of a wave, but a permy-bouffant? I think not! BLEH!

Let's pray on it....
New episode of True Blood tonight. Last week's episode was in my opinion the best off the season, so I can't wait to see what's going to happen. I do know that I want to see Jason get to it with Sarah, serious chemistry between those two, and what's up with this Godric guy? A bunch of Texans took him down? What? Really? Thank goodness for HBO east.... 6 pm can't come fast enough.

A bloody good time....
Transformers 2....
D and I went and saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last night. I liked it. It was entertaining and visually... uhhh... stimulating. While Michael Bay seemed to abandon his flesh and blood characters, he was kind enough to have the picture below be the first glimpse of Megan Fox's character (I don't remember her name in the movie, I think its Mikaela. But does it really matter?). I thought the other chick (Isabel Lucas) had a kick ass role and while her hotness is impressive, it still doesn't measure up to Fox's leather clad motorcycle mechanic...
